FeelUnique has snapped up Amazon’s European fashion boss Sarah Miles as its new chief executive.
Miles will join the beauty etailer in November after a five-year stint at Amazon, where she has acted as director of EU fashion for nearly three years.
Miles, who has previously held senior roles at Diageo and Reuters, will succeed Joel Palix, who stepped down as chief executive in February.
In the intervening period his remit was covered by chief operating officer Jim Buckle and chief marketing officer Jen Roebuck, who will return to their respective roles upon Miles’ arrival.
Miles said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining FeelUnique, an exciting brand at a very exciting time.”
“It is an honour to join the team who have compiled over 500 leading brands on the site, and world-class content for our customers. I look forward to working with the team to drive a vigorous path to growth with this unbeatable mix of assets.”
FeelUnique chair Robert Bensoussan added that Miles’ experience across international, brand and digital would “help FeelUnique to continue to strengthen its position as Europe’s leading online premium beauty retailer”.
