Sofology managing director Emma Dinnis is set to step down as DFS pursues a “more simplified structure” within the group.
Dinnis, who joined the group from Ikea in 2022, is now set to leave the sofa retailer by the end of the year.
Nick Smith, previously DFS’ chief executive, will assume a newly created role as group chief customer and commercial officer. According to the retailer, Smith will simultaneously oversee Sofology while maintaining his existing responsibilities under the new structure.
Sofology’s director of customer operations Adam Smith and the retailer’s brand director Jan Duckworth will also be leaving.
The reorganisation introduces several new leadership appointments: Arron Burton as group commercial director, James Brewer as group marketing director, and Graham Mould as group customer operations director.
DFS described the changes as creating a “more simplified structure” and strengthening its group operations leadership team.
DFS group chief executive Tim Stacey said: “By bringing DFS and Sofology together under one management team, we will create a more simplified structure, enabling us to focus on our strategic priorities, fully unlock group efficiencies, and create a stronger business for the future.
“I would like to thank Emma, Adam and Jan for their important contribution to making Sofology what it is today, and wish them all the best for the future.”
