Monsoon Accessorize has created a chief customer officer role, hiring its first ever CCO from New Look after its group marketing director left.
Gill Moore joins from New Look, where she was group marketing director. She joined in 2011 as customer experience and trade planning director and was promoted six months later.
Previously, she was at Matalan for 13 years as store development and customer experience director.
Monsoon group marketing director Eilidh MacAskill left the business on March 8 after two years and now runs her own consultancy.
Monsoon has had a tough time recently. In its last full-year, the retailer reported an 18.7% drop in profits as sales dipped 7.8%.
It was also without a permanent chief executive for a while. Paul Allen became permanent chief executive in January after nearly a year as interim boss.
Allen, who joined Monsoon in 2013 as finance director, took over from John Browett as its chief last February. Browett left to become chief executive at Dunelm Group. Allen had previously spent 10 years at Jacques Vert as chief executive.
