The shopping analyst said central London experienced a 6.5 per cent drop in footfall between July 25 and July 28 compared with the previous week.
In contrast, retail areas surrounding London experienced a 15.6 per cent rise for the same comparable period.
FootFall marketing manager Natasha Burton said: 'This figure is disappointing for central London retailers, especially because this includes the first days of the school holidays and some pretty wet weather, both traditionally footfall drivers. Shoppers are continuing to show caution about coming into the city, which is having a real effect.'
