Outdoor specialist Go Outdoors has launched a reserve-and collect service across all its 27 stores following a successful trial in two shops.
The retailer claims it is the first outdoor chain to offer such a service.
Head of ecommerce development Andy Eades said: “The reserve- and-collect service has made it even easier for people to shop online. Go Outdoors outlets are destination stores, so reserve-and-collect is great for our customers who travel long distances.
“In terms of supply chain, it’s also a great way for us to capture product demand for items that are not in stock and promotes accuracy of stock within the stores.”
The Sheffield-based retailer, whose stores are predominantly located out-of-town, trialled the service in response to customer demand.
