Ted Baker set to expand US and UK operations

Ted Baker is to step up retail expansion in the US and UK on the back of strong trading.

At the AGM last week, Ted Baker said trading in the first half was 'in line with expectations'. Analysts at broker Investec believe sales growth is north of 10 per cent.

The San Francisco shop, which opened earlier this month, got off to a flying start. The retailer is understood to be looking for more locations in US cities such as Los Angeles and Chicago. A store opened in Guildford, Surrey, last week and another will open in London's Westbourne Grove.
