Westfield London is offering shoppers all-day parking for £10 during a strike on the underground that began in the capital yesterday evening.
The offer will last for the duration of the strike, with normal charges returning at the centre on Friday morning.
Shoppers will be able to park from 6 am to 1 am today and Thursday at a capped rate of £10 for the day.
Tube workers went on strike at seven o’clock yesterday evening across most of the underground network over an ongoing pay dispute.
The strike will affect an estimated 3 million passengers, who will have to make alternative arrangements for travelling around the capital.
A Westfield spokeswoman said: “With so many of our customers using the excellent public transport links which connect to the centre, we hope that London Underground and the RMT can resolve the situation without strike action which would be disruptive to our customers, retailers and employees in this challenging economic climate.”
Westfield London is served by four underground stations, Shepherd’s Bush and White City on the Central Line, and Wood Lane and Shepherd’s Bush Market on the Hammersmith and City Line.
