Wilkinsons has taken over the former Tesco unit that anchors the Belle Vale shopping centre in Liverpool.

Landlords St Modwen and LaSalle Investment Management agreed a surrender of Tesco’s lease and then re-let the basement and mall levels of the store to Wilkinsons on a 20-year lease at £250,000 a year.

Fitting out is under way and the store will open in July. The Liverpool unit is one of 20 that Wikinsons will open this year.
