Apple will unveil its UK plans for the much-hyped iPhone today at high-profile event in London

Apple is expected to unveil its eagerly anticipated UK plans for its high profile iPhone in London this morning.

Apple chief executive Steve Jobs is in the capital to provide his vision for the mobile phone-cum-digital music player that will go on sale in the UK from November.

The event will be held at its flagship store on London's Regent Street.

Apple is thought to have signed an exclusive deal with mobile operator O2 in the UK .

Apple is believed to have agreed a deal with mobile phone operator 02 to distribute the iPhone at branches of the Carphone Warehouse.

It is understood that the US music and hardware giant will receive at least 10 per cent of revenue generated by O2’s customers.

O2 declined to comment and a spokesperson for Apple UK could not be reached.
