Designer fashion label Armani is opening its first store in Wales in St David’s shopping centre, Cardiff, it is understood.

Recruitment for the new AX Armani Exchange store, which opens in July, has already begun.

Armani has also recently opened a store in Westfield Stratford, a location which has attracted other luxury brands such as Aquascutum, Mulberry and Prada despite no original plans to have a luxury quarter there.

It is the seventh AX Armani Exchange shop in the UK.
