Joy for Dunstone as mobile phone business triumphs
Charles Dunstone was celebrating last Thursday as Carphone Warehouse was named Retailer of the Year at this year's Retail Week Awards.

As well as dethroning Tesco by winning the biggest honour in UK retail, the company was also named Innovative Employer of the Year for the second year running on a glittering night at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.

Marks & Spencer also had a great night, picking up four awards including Retail Leader of the Year for Stuart Rose. Argos won two awards for its online and customer service initiatives, while a special award was given to the backers of the Fashion Retail Academy, led by Philip Green.
