How retailers are faring in Peterborough
The Queensgate centre in Peterborough has a high number of retailers on Sale this afternoon. Despite anchor store John Lewis holding its nerve, Philip Green's Arcadia has been struggling to even sell off Christmas bunting, with cards and crackers already cut price.

Fashion chain Gap also seemed to be struggling to pull in the punters, offering 'Winter Savings' of up to 40 per cent. Footfall, considering it was lunchtime during a weekday when Retail Week visited the mall, was fair.

Although not mobbed, the majority of stores had queues, and shoppers were carrying multiple bags. Both Ravel and Clarks were on Sale today, with the footwear retailers holding a 50 per cent Sale.
