Department store retailer Morleys has appointed Neil Stockton as its new finance director as the company looks to expand its operations.

Stockton joins the 84-year-old retailer from furniture retailer Lombok where he was finance and commercial director. Prior to this Stockton was finance director at kitchen and bathroom specialist Fired Earth.

Morleys has seven stores in Greater London. In the year ending January 26, 2013 total sales at the retailer were £79.5m and pre-tax profit was £4.1m.

Russell Adams, a director at AdMore Recruitment which placed Stockton, said: “Neil has a wealth of retail experience including spells at Lombok and Fired Earth. He joins the group at an exciting time as the company looks to progress its growth, investment and expansion plans.”
