Fashion retailer Ellie Louise has fallen into administration.
The retailer, which operates from 97 stores and its online operation, has appointed Zolfo Cooper as administrator.
The Leeds-based retailer employs 439 staff nationwide.
Tough trading has taken its toll on Ellie Louise along with its acquisition of value brand Trade Secret in 2010 which has impacted profit margins and cash flows.
Zolfo Cooper will trade the retailer while it explores all options, including a sale of all or parts of the business.
Zolfo Cooper partner Graham Wild said:“Unfortunately, as with many other fashion retailers exposed to declining consumer spend, challenging trading conditions have led to increased financial pressure on this well-known brand”.
