US fashion giant Forever 21 has signed for a store at Bluewater shopping centre, Retail Week has learned.
The retailer has only one UK store open at the moment, at the Bullring in Birmingham, where it debuted last year.
Forever 21 will move into the WH Smith store at Bluewater, owned by landlord Lend Lease.
It will also take adjacent units to the WH Smith store, to open a 25,000 sq ft shop, due to open in the second half of 2012.
The fashion giant made a splash when it made its highly anticipated entrance into the UK market, opening at the Bullring in November, followed by a store at Dublin’s Jervis Centre.
It has also purchased HMV’s store at the west end of Oxford Street for £13.75m, as revealed by Retail Week in November, which will give it its first central London presence.
Last month it signed for its first Scottish store, in Glasgow’s yet-to-open Buchanan Street development, owned by Land Securities. It is set to open in 2013.
Property agent Harper Dennis Hobbs acts for the retailer.
