Buzz Lightyear, a toy puppy that can be taken for walks and an electric guitar are among the toys tipped to be the biggest sellers this Christmas.
The Toy Retailers Association unveiled its list of 12 ‘dream toys’ this week, and said that toys are becoming ever more technologically advanced. Toys are big business at Christmas, with 50% of all toys sold in the three months before Christmas.
The TRA said kids’ versions of adult items would be big sellers, including a £59.99 videocam and toy hamster grooming salon. It also tipped Lego’s City Airport kit, a Fireman Sam playset and Monopoly Revolution, a circular version of the classic board game, as top sellers this year.
