Discount supermarket chain Lidl has rolled out delivery and collection lockers in stores for the first time to allow customers to “maximise” their shopping trips.
The grocer partnered with locker provider InPost to launch the new delivery and collection service at 24 of its stores in London, Birmingham and Manchester today.
Shoppers using the lockers can access them using a specific QR code on their phone.
The discounter said the lockers would enable customers to collect online orders before or after their shop, as well as send return parcels, and would “reduce unnecessary travel with Britain still on lockdown due to the pandemic”.
