Health and beauty giant Boots has rolled out the use of Klarna payments from today, Retail Week can reveal.
The global payments provider will now allow Boots customers to benefit from its “smooth payments experience” when shopping online or using the app.
Customers have the option to pay for products either instantly in full, within 30 days or to split the cost of their purchase over three interest-free instalments.
Boots shoppers can also track orders via the Klarna app.
The retailer first rolled out the use of Klarna payments for shoppers in more than 2,000 of its stores in December 2022, as well as launching a buy now, pay later service via Klarna in Boots Opticians.
Klarna head of western and southern Europe Raji Behal said: “We’re excited to bring Klarna’s flexible payment options to boots.com and the Boots app following our in-store launch, offering shoppers the freedom to manage their purchases, from everyday essentials to special treats like cosmetics and curlers.”
The news comes after Boots recently launched the NHS Pharmacy First service across all its stores in England, offering customers free access to advice and treatment.
The health and beauty retailer also ordered all its head office staff to return to the office five days a week, effective from September 1 this year.
Employees at Boots working at the retailer’s Nottingham, London and Weybridge offices will have to return to the office for five days a week to make it a “normal place of work for everybody for the whole working week”.
