Former Superdrug boss Euan Sutherland has brought a lot to B&Q since taking the helm in 2008.
But perhaps the most startling of the Scotsman’s influences is his latest one: to try to soften the DIY chain’s tough guy image by going into beauty products.
Going by the retailer’s press show last week, where beauticians were on hand to give manicures, B&Q may soon be selling nail polish, inspired by the new wallpaper prints designed for B&Q by TV presenter Kirsty Allsop.
