When the sun is shining outside, furniture shopping is not high up on the list for many people.
But Sofa.com had a cunning way of pulling in footfall last weekend as it aired the men’s tennis final on a huge TV screen in its Chelsea showroom.
Despite Andy Murray’s amazing win, the first UK men’s Wimbledon champion in 77 years, the online sofa retailer didn’t see a sales boost but at least its customers had seats to see history in the making, and it was probably more comfortable than a spot on ‘Murray Mount’.
