Matalan has marked its 30th anniversary with the launch of a 60-second TV ad campaign that aims to position itself as a modern family brand, The Drum reported. It features real life families from across the UK and features a poem recited by Roger McGough CBE.
Burberry shares soar on US takeover rumour
Shares in Burberry soared yesterday by the talk of a possible US private equity approach for the luxury brand, Sky News reported. The shares gained 4.2% at one stage in early trading. Some traders said the backdrop of more takeover activity would cushion the market from any major hits caused by the May 7 vote.
