Yoox Net-a-porter partners with Disney
Yoox Net-a-Porter has collaborated with Disney to launch a new online lifestyle and fashion store, The Industry London reported.
The new store will include designer collections from The Walt Disney Company, Disney Pixar, Marvel or Star Wars franchises.
It will consist of sweaters inspired by Kenzo’s Jungle Book, footwear range by Vans’ Toy Story and clothing from Olympia Le Tan’s Alice in Wonderland.
Walt Disney Company's fashion vice president said: “Our collaboration with Yoox is grounded in Disney’s ‘consumer first’ strategy and our insights and knowledge of the adult consumer. We know what this demographic wants and through Yoox we are now delivering it, ensuring they have access to the product they want, when they want it.”
Yoox founder and chief executive Federico Marchetti said: “Disney’s playful imagination was a great inspiration when I invented Yoox in 1999, so today it is an enormous pleasure to combine Disney’s timeless brand with Yoox’s innovative spirit, further delighting our customers with creative content and hard-to-find products.”
Former Morrisons boss to become Byron chairman
Former Morrisons chief executive Dalton Philips will be named as the chairman of Byron, one of Britain's casual dining groups, Sky News reported.
Philips will be working alongside Andrew Manders, who is set to become chief executive of Byron replacing founder Tom Byng.
Byng is leaving his role to pursue new entrepreneurial ventures.
Byron’s spokesperson declined to comment.
