Best Denki acquires 70% stake in JECO Appliances Stores

Japanese consumer electronics retailer Best Denki has acquired a majority 70% stake in Taiwanese rival JECO Appliances Stores Co, which operates 13 JECO Appliances stores on the island.

The deal will more than double Best Denki’s presence in Taiwan to 26 stores. The JECO Appliances stores are mostly located in the south of Taiwan, whereas Best Denki’s existing stores are primarily in the north.
