Japanese retailer Aeon is to open its first convenience stores in China, while Seven-Eleven Japan is set to expand its chains further in the country.
Aeon will open the first of its Ministop chain of convenience stores this summer in Qingdao in the eastern province of Shandong.
It also plans to open 200 stores in China over the next five years.
Seven-Eleven Japan will open its first in Shanghai later this month, with more than 10 due to open by February.
