Microsoft has launched its first retail store, at Scottsdale in Arizona.
The opening was timed to coincide with the launch of the new Windows 7 operating system.
The store offers a range of PCs, Xbox consoles, Windows mobile phones and what the company calls “one of the largest selections” of third-party software titles in any US store. The store is split
into four ‘zones’, with each focusing on a different type of technology.
A second store is expected to open in California later this month.
