Régis Schultz, the new chief executive of electricals firm Darty, has taken up the role a week early as the retailer presses ahead with its turnaround plan.
Schultz, who previously ran French furniture and electricals retailer BUT, which is part-owned by OpCapita, started on Tuesday, earlier than the original date of May 1.
Dominic Platt, who had been acting chief executive since Thierry Falque-Pierrotin left in September after an investor rebellion over pay, has reverted back to being finance director.
