TikTok Shop has launched a new refurbished technology product category in the UK for users to buy directly from the platform.

Users can now buy second-hand phones and tablets through TikTok Shop from a range of merchants including eFones, Box.co.uk and Yoltso.

The platform is working with top software companies such as Blackbelt Defence and PhoneCheck to guarantee shoppers that the tech they want to buy has been verified.

Each refurbished item passes rigorous testing, quality control and receives certification before being sold.

There has been huge engagement on TikTok and many users look for deals and affordable products as #moneysavingtips has racked up 1.6 billion views so far, while #usediphone has reached 100 million views.

The news of TikTok Shop adding refurbished tech products follows other categories introduced on the platform. Recent launches include a wellness product category and a parent and baby product category.
