Netto has hired a store operations director and non-food business unit controller in an effort to strengthen its senior management team.
The value supermarket has appointed Paul Newby as store operations director and Damian Ingle as non-food business unit controller.
Newby, who has had stints at Asda, Somerfield and Sainsbury’s, will oversee standards in Netto’s 182 stores. The move will reunite Newby with Netto managing director Richard Lancaster, who was previously trading and marketing director of Sainsbury’s convenience business.
Ingle will head Netto’s non-food buying team and will focus on driving sales and building relationships with key suppliers in the Far East and UK.
