Kiddicare has added a cash payment option to its website to help drive sales among customers who won’t, or can’t, pay for goods online with credit or debit cards.
Working with Cash-Ticket, Kiddicare is allowing consumers to purchase a voucher from any of PayPoint’s 20,000 outlets, and then enter the voucher number when paying for their purchases online.
The system has been integrated with the IBM WebSphere platform that the Kiddicare sites operates on.
Kiddicare partner Scott Weavers-Wright (pictured) said the payment option had been added to the site following strong customer feedback. He explained: “Every day, we were receiving numerous calls and emails from customers requesting an alternative payment system on the site.”
He added: “The move to allow customers to pay for Kiddicare goods online using cash was prompted by the current economic climate. If customers do not want a credit card they should not be punished and should have other payment options available to them.”
