Tesco has restructured its marketing team in a bid to simplify the department and place the focus on the customer.
Tesco chief customer officer Jill Easterbrook – who was promoted to her role in June – has restructured the marketing department under three teams.
Tracey Clements will look after customer insight and experience, Neil Adams takes on marketing, planning and operations, and Sharry Cramond looks after brand and proposition.
The move will result in a handful of redundancies at director level. Some are expected to leave the business and others will move to different roles.
A Tesco spokesman said Easterbrook took the decision to simplify the structure when she was appointed in June. He said the new structure aims to reflect the focus on the customer.
The changes pre-date the arrival of new chief executive Dave Lewis.
