Young fashion chain USC has returned to the black and recorded pre-tax profits of £1.3m for the year to January 31.
The clothing chain owned by entrepreneur Sir Tom Hunter has filed accounts at Companies House showing the chain’s return to profit after it posted a £9m loss last year. Turnover for the current year stood at £69m.
USC, which operates 39 stores in locations such as Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh, went into administration in December 2008 but was bought back by its owner, Hunter’s private equity firm West Coast Capital.
The chain offers premium street wear and denim brands such as Diesel, Replay and Miss Sixty.
