Shoppers queued from 6am yesterday to get their hands on the exclusive Comme Des Garçons collection at H&M’s flagship London stores.
The crowd surged through the doors of the Regent Street and Oxford Circus stores at 9am to buy armfuls of cut-price designer clothes. The Japanese brand is not widely available in Britain and usually costs thousands, but H&M sold the collection at a fraction of its usual price.
Many of the items have surfaced this morning on eBay.
An H&M spokeswoman told the Evening Standard: “It has been crazy. We are delighted by the response. There was a mad rush for the showpiece dress, of which there were only 25 in the country.”
