Shuropody, the footcare retailer that acquired the Scholl retail chain last year, has rolled out YESpay’s Emboss secure transactions solution to its 48 standalone stores.
Integrated with the chain’s recently installed Myriad EPoS system, Emboss is fully compliant with PCI Data Security Standards and can handle card transactions even when the card holder is not present. This allows Shuropody customers to pay for chiropody treatments and gift vouchers over the phone.
Working with software house Orcus, the EPoS implementation was achieved in five weeks and completed in January. This was largely due to YESpay’s pre-accreditation of its Emboss Bureau Service with HSBC, Shuropody’s acquiring bank.
“We’ve seen a very quick delivery of EPoS from Orcus and have benefited from time and cost savings of the Emboss service being pre-approved and PCI compliant,” said Shuropody operations director Simon Kirby.
Shuropody bought Scholl’s UK retail network of 44 footcare stores from Alliance Boots in July 2008. The stores under the Shuropody name sell Scholl shoes and foot products, as well as other comfort shoe brands. Chiropody treatments are also offered.
