What it does

Shopbox is a PoS app designed for quick service in retail stores.

Rather than acting as an isolated PoS system, Shopbox’s technology also oversees various operational and customer service functions, including inventory management, customer loyalty and online bookings.

The supplier’s software integrates with retailers’ existing technology, as well as gathering real-time data on sales.

The Danish start-up’s technology is designed to give retailers greater visibility into operating decisions and to offer more personalised customer service, as well as enabling retailers to have the optimal amount of employees required each day.

What problem it solves

Shopbox integrates into retailers’ existing in-store technology and is designed to help retailers process transactions quickly and gather insight from each sale.

The start-up’s technology prioritises speed in customer payments to cut queues in retail stores while gathering real-time data on shopper numbers and sales.

Founder and chief executive Christian Zigler says: “Transaction speed is crucial to maximising turnover and making customers happier.

“Shopbox does this and, at the same time, gathers valuable data to provide a basis for business owners to make ever-improving day-to-day decisions.”
