The Chinese lifestyle retailer’s newest store will open in Wandsworth, south London, on March 10.
Best known for selling soft toys and an affordable range of stationery, bento boxes, household gadgets and accessories, this will be Miniso’s 18th store in the UK and its sixth in the Greater London area.
The move is part of the retailer’s expansion plan in the UK as it grows its infrastructure and consumers return to high streets.
With more than 5,300 stores in 105 countries across the world, Miniso first entered the UK market in 2019.
The brand opened 10 stores in the UK last year and plans to open at least 10 more in 2023.
Saad Usman, chief operating officer of Miniso in the UK, said: “Everyone wants a bit of fun and joy in their lives, and the Miniso brand is focused on our light-hearted mission of bringing this to all generations.
“Miniso came to the UK at the right time, with the right products, in the right places, to inspire UK consumers to treat themselves again with everyday affordable luxuries and a novel shopping experience.
“The retail market had already taken a knock before the pandemic and the challenges have continued.
“However, footfall has been returning and now there is an even stronger appetite among consumers for well-designed, enjoyable gifts and gadgets, which you can see for yourself in store.
“Already, many of Miniso’s franchisees are committed to opening multiple stores rather than single units.”
