Next and New Look have penned pre-let deals at Telford Shopping Centre as the town’s fresh fashion mall takes shape.
Both fashion chains are increasing their presence in the development, which is being revamped by Sovereign Centros and Orion Capital Partners.
Next is upsizing to a 30,000 sq ft store, while New Look has agreed terms on a 16,000 sq ft unit.
Both retailers have signed 10-year leases on their new stores.
The shopping centre’s existing New Row and New Street malls will be redeveloped and extended, retaining existing tenants Zara, River Island and anchor House of Fraser.
The new fashion development will open in Autumn 2018, alongside a new bus station.
It is one of three ongoing development schemes that will transform the 1.2m sq ft centre in Telford.
A leisure development – known as the Southern Quarter – will open next month, while building will start on the Northern Quarter during the summer.
Sovereign Centros said it was “in detailed discussions” to bring “a host of other retailers” to the town.
