CollectPlus chief executive Neil Ashworth is to take on additional responsibilities at owner Yodel, the delivery company.
Ashworth has become chief commercial officer of Yodel, a position he will hold alongside his existing role.
He has been chief executive of CollectPlus since 2013 and an executive board member of Yodel since January this year, when CollectPlus became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the carrier rather than a joint venture.
Ashworth – who previously worked for retailers including Tesco and Woolworths – will be in charge of Yodel’s sales and client and commercial development teams including insight, innovation and customer service.
Yodel chief executive Mike Cooper said: “Neil brings a wealth of experience in retail and logistics which will be invaluable to the future growth of Yodel. He has a strong understanding of our business.”
Ashworth said: “I am proud to extend my role within the Yodel family at this exciting point in its transformation, and I look forward to the challenge that the role presents.”
At CollectPlus Ashworth has overseen a 204% uplift in parcel volumes, a 129% increase in clients and 28% growth in network locations to more than 6,500 stores.
