Retail Week wants to find out, and has teamed up with Fox Kalomaski to repeat last year's online survey of attitudes to working in the retail profession.
In the first survey, hundreds of retail executives took part, and the findings made fascinating and revealing reading for the whole business.
But what has changed since last year? What motivates retail management and what turns you off? What do you look forward to most at work and what do you fear most? Where is the retail industry heading? Who are the best people in the business? And what about life after work?
The results of the short survey, which are collected anonymously, will be published as a feature in a future issue of Retail Week and, as an incentive to complete the survey, one lucky respondent will receive a case of vintage champagne.
