The opening date for Topshop’s much-anticipated New York flagship store has been revealed as April 2.

The opening was expected last autumn but was delayed to this year after the project was hit by building difficulties.

Topshop will open its store on 478 Broadway in Manhattan. Topshop boss Sir Philip Green has described the store as “Topshop as is, with some bells and whistles.”

Green hopes that the success of the New York site will lead the way for further expansion of the fashion chain in America.
