The pop star will appear alongside Wooly the sheep and Worth the sheepdog in an advert entitled Ladies' Man. In the commercial, Ward is interviewed by Wooly, entertainment correspondent for Woolworths News, about the 'difficulties of being a hit with the ladies'.
Woolies marketing director Stephen Robertson said: 'Shayne Ward's album is expected to be the biggest-selling pop CD of the year and Woolworths is the biggest seller of pop music. The fit was an obvious one, which we believe will excite our customers and deliver an important sales boost on the most important sales release of the year.'
The first advert will be broadcast on April 15 and is part of a£5 million TV, online, press and in-store Easter campaign.
