Amazon UK has launched a mobile application that allows customers with Google Android-based mobile phones to buy and download music from Amazon’s MP3 music store.
Amazon EU MP3 senior manager Raquel Gonzalez-Dalmau said: “At Amazon we want customers to be able to discover, buy and play their music at their convenience, from the widest range of music genres possible.
“Customers now have even more ways to discover our selection of over million MP3 songs at the touch of a button – with individual tracks starting at 29p and MP3 albums at £3.”
The new Amazon MP3 App for Android works over WiFi and 3G networks.
Android is Google’s mobile phone operating system, used on various smartphones that compete with Apple’s iPhone.
