Austin Reed promises to “reignite the spirit of British heritage tailoring” with its new flagship store in Regent Street.
Austin Reed will relocate on Regent Street in November after a 100-year history in its current flagship location, as revealed by Retail Week. Its current store will be taken over by trendy fashion brand Supergroup.
The new store will be designed by architect Mark Pinney, who has been tasked with taking nostalgic retrospective elements of Austin Reed’s 111-year history while also bringing British tailoring and apparel into the future.
Chief executive Nick Hollingworth said: “The move allows us to present next generation retail and fits our brand vision for the future. We are looking at a new era of Austin Reed’s 100 year history of iconic stores and looking forward to another 100 years focusing on luxury tailoring and casualwear with a significant emphasis on customer service.”
