Luxury department store Selfridges London has launched its Selfridges Unlocked membership scheme to offer shoppers the chance to access “the best product launches, events, news and free shipping”.
Members of the new rewards scheme, which launched on Thursday, will be given an exclusive look at products and services upon their launch as well as free shipping within the UK on any orders of more than £150.
Selfridges called members of the scheme “keyholders” and confirmed that each time they shop they will be “entered in a prize draw to win a whole day of extraordinary experiences at Selfridges”, which will be awarded on a monthly basis.
The luxury department store will also donate to its charity partner Centrepoint every time members of the scheme shop at Selfridges.
Inspired by Selfridges founder Harry Gordon Selfridge, the scheme reflects his “everyone is welcome” message.
The Selfridges ‘key’ takes the form of a QR code and can be used both in-store and online by members.
Selfridges said: “Selfridges Unlocked gives full access with special invites to experience Selfridges events, services and product launches first.
“It also helps customers to give back, with a charity donation every time they shop.”
This comes as Selfridges unveiled a raft of activations to celebrate the launch of the highly anticipated Barbie movie, including recreations of scenes from the movie as well as costumes worn by stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
