Vinted, which has more than 16 million registered accounts in the UK, is popular for offering shoppers the choice to deselect courier or shipping options that do not suit them.

Examples include deselecting options that require a printer or options with dropoff points too far away.

Earlier this week, shoppers took to social media to express concerns over this option disappearing from their profiles.

One Vinted user said they had to cancel five orders worth £60 as a result, while another said the change could “ruin” the platform and added it was making Vinted “impossible to use as a seller”.

Vinted told the BBC the change was made on Monday but it has since reversed its in-app shipping options back to the previous settings after “listening to user feedback about the change”.

A Vinted spokesperson said: “We regularly test and trial different things to evolve Vinted.

“Recently, we made some changes which meant some of our members had a different experience with managing their shipping options.

“We heard the feedback and confirm the shipping options have returned to their previous settings, there are no further actions needed from the members.”

This comes as Vinted recently reported its first year of profitability and a surge in revenue for 2023.
