Superdrug is launching free Wi-Fi in all stores as it introduces interactive in-store radio to strengthen its customer engagement.
Customers will be able to access Wi-Fi across the whole of the health and beauty retailer’s 700-strong store estate by the end of the year.
The in-store radio, Superdrug Live supplied by Immedia, will launch alongside the Wi-Fi service. The radio will be broadcast live, allowing the retailer to interact with customers through social media.
Superdrug will hold competitions, encourage music requests and read out messages to create further engagement with their customers.
Superdrug marketing director Matt Walburn said: “We know how trend conscious our customers are and Wi-Fi will allow them to go online to gain instant inspiration.
“The new technology will add an extra element of interaction and fun for customers.”
