Habitat has drafted in a marketing specialist as it seeks to develop a new marketing strategy.
Habitat has hired Mike Phillipson, a director of Yorkshire-based agency Propaganda, as interim marketing director. He will combine both his roles, splitting his time and spending five days a month at Habitat’s London office.
The move comes as the creative agency started to develop a new marketing strategy for Habitat in March. The role is likely to last into next year, and he will oversee the launch of that campaign for the 71-store group.
The appointment comes after a business review commission by Habitat chief executive Mark Saunders.
Saunders said:”Mike brings with him a huge amount of strategic and marketing experience which will help us across Europe over the coming months and he will be an invaluable asset to everyone here at Habitat.”
Phillipson said: “Clients like Habitat are looking for more flexible solutions to senior appointments like this and agencies like Propaganda, with their senior resource, are well placed to help them.”
