Laura Ashley concessions have been pulled from Homebase stores, following the DIY chain’s acquisition by Wesfarmers.
Laura Ashley has 22 concessions within the Homebase store estate. It said in a statement that the closures would take place during the second quarter of 2017.
The retailer added: “The company does not expect there to be a material impact on the group and anticipates that the majority of trade that it receives from these concessions will be redirected to other Laura Ashley stores and the website operated by the group.”
Wesfarmers acquired Homebase in February for £340m. At the time it unveiled plans to remove concessions from Homebase stores and to stop selling decorative and soft furnishings lines.
It is currently in the process of rebranding Homebase as Bunnings. The first Bunnings stores are due to be unveiled in the new year.
