TikTok Shop has expanded its partnership with Shopify in the UK. Shopify merchants can now connect their online store to the shopping platform using a new app.
The TikTok for Shopify app is designed to make it easier for Shopify merchants to access TikTok’s 1 billion users, and sellers can create ad campaigns, synchronise the product catalogue and sell products through in-feed videos and live broadcasts through the app.
The UK expansion follows the launch of the TikTok for Shopify app in the US last year, and will be available to merchants in the UK from March 6.
A TikTok spokesperson said: “At TikTok Shop, we’re always looking for ways to improve the selling experience for our merchants.
“This latest integration with Shopify will help streamline and simplify the user journey in the UK, making it even easier for them to succeed on TikTok Shop all from the comfort of within the channel app.”
TikTok Shop has also launched a new ‘Fresh Flowers & Live Plants’ product category in time for Mother’s Day. The new category comes with a pre-order function.
The launch is in partnership with flower merchant Arena Flowers. Other brands joining the platform include Freddie’s Flowers and You Garden.
The category is the latest in a line of new categories recently introduced, including refurbished electronics, pets, parenting and wellness.
