Moonpig parent Photobox has drafted in MandM Direct boss Jonathon Brown as chief operating officer.
Brown, who has been the chief executive for discount clothing etailer MandM Direct since 2012, joined Photobox on February 23.
As part of PhotoBox’s senior management team, Brown will oversee the company’s marketing and commercial strategy across all of its brands, including greeting card etailer Moonpig.
He will also be tasked with developing the personalised product and gift group’s mobile proposition for shoppers across different devices.
During his time at MandM Direct Brown oversaw the sale of the retailer to Bestseller in 2014. He previously worked for John Lewis as online director and before that was director of multichannel for B&Q.
PhotoBox chief executive Stan Laurent said he was confident Brown’s ”experience and multichannel approach to retail will play a key role further developing our proposition as the most personal e-commerce business in Europe”.
Brown said: “With ecommerce rapidly growing and diversifying there is a huge amount for the Group to play for, in particular on the mobile front.”
