Staples’ operations director Ian Tattersall has left the office supplies retailer after 14 years at the business.
Tattersall joined the UK arm of the US giant in 1999 as retail general manager and had been the operations director for almost two years when he departed this month.
Tattersall’s move comes amid change at the top of the retailer. In March, the boss of Staples Portugal Carlos Maia added responsibility for leading the UK business to his role.
He took on the responsibility left by former UK managing director Amee Chande who exited the business after two years in the role.
Staples has been restructuring the business by closing 23 UK stores as it puts more focus on its online division.
Staples declined to comment on his departure.
